Mica
Mica's value lies in its heat resistance and electrical insulation. We supply it graded by sheet size and quality, with responsible-sourcing checks.

In short
Mica is mined from pegmatite rock, split and graded, and sold to manufacturers with sourcing checks.
- Formula
- KAl₂(AlSi₃O₁₀)(OH)₂ (muscovite)

What it is
Mica is a group of minerals that split into thin, flexible sheets. The most common, muscovite, resists heat and does not conduct electricity, so it is used as insulation. Ground mica adds shimmer to paints, plastics and cosmetics.

Pegmatite workings
Sheet mica is mined from pegmatite rock. In some regions mica mining has a history of child labour, so supply chains need careful checks.
